Director and Co-Stars Praise Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won

The hit drama “Queen of Tears,”which concluded on April 28th, has received high praise for the stellar performances of Kim Soo-hyun as Baek Hyun-woo and Kim Ji-won as Hong Hae-in. Their portrayal of the couple’s journey from falling in love to facing marital challenges was so realistic that viewers were completely immersed in their chemistry. According to both viewers and industry insiders, the success of the show would not have been possible without the exceptional acting skills of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won in the lead roles.

In a written interview on April 30th, Director Jang Young-woo, who helmed the drama, expressed his admiration for Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won, stating that working with them made him develop a genuine respect and fondness for the actors. According to him, both of them excelled in their performances, with a flawless acting ability and a positive attitude towards their co-stars and crew members. He also mentioned that their on-screen chemistry was unique and complementary, making them rely on and support each other throughout the filming process.

Kim Gap-soo, who portrayed Hong Man-dae, praised his co-star Kim Soo-hyun, who played his son-in-law in the drama. He stated, “While he has done well in other works, he truly excelled in this drama. His acting was exceptional and he handled his character with great skill. It is not often that young actors are able to successfully portray such intricate roles.”
