Dragon Age: The Veilguard story

According to Gary McKay, Executive Producer of Dragon Age, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a fresh standalone narrative taking place in the realm of Thedas. Gamers will assume the role of the main protagonist, who will encounter seven distinct allies during their journey.

As the story unfolds, players will have the opportunity to embark on the questlines of companions and shape their relationships with them based on their choices. These were the companions revealed in the official trailer: Harding (Scout), Neve (Detective), Lucanis (Mage killer), Belaria (Veil Jumper), Emmrich (Necromancer), Davrin (Warden), and Taash (Dragon Hunter).

Despite being featured as an antagonist in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the elven god of betrayal and rebellion known as Dread Wolf will not play a central role in the main campaign. According to McKay, although Dread Wolf still holds significance in the story, the focus will be on the player and their companions rather than their enemies. This was confirmed by McKay in a post on BioWare’s blog.
