Dragon Ball Daima Unveils Exciting Connection to Jujutsu Kaisen

Dragon Ball Daima now has an exciting link to Jujutsu Kaisen after casting one of the anime’s leading voice actors.

After a significant wait, Goku and his friends are set to return to our screens – but with a unique twist. Instead of their powerful selves, we’ll see them in miniature forms in Dragon Ball Daima. While familiar faces will make an appearance, there will also be some new characters introduced.

One new character is Degesu, a Core Person from the Demon Realm who will serve as the main antagonist in the upcoming anime. He will be voiced by Junya Enoki, who also voices the main character Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen.

“It was a while after my audition that I learned I had been chosen, so it was quite a happy surprise for me and I thought, ‘I actually got the role!’” Enoki shared about his casting as Degesu in Dragon Ball Daima. “It was quite a happy surprise for me.”

Enoki added, “Toriyama-sensei wrote the story himself, so we are experiencing a new Dragon Ball for the Reiwa period, and it feels like the Dragon Ball level is at 100%. I believe everyone from children to adults will enjoy this, so I hope you will all watch it.”

Thanks to Enoki’s role in MAPPA’s popular anime series, fans can look forward to an impressive performance as the main villain. The voice actor has shown remarkable versatility in his role as Yuji, displaying a range from cheerful to brooding emotions.

In addition to his role in Jujutsu Kaisen, Enoki has portrayed characters in significant anime series, including young Reiner in Attack on Titan, Fugo from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind, and Nasa from Tonikaku Kawaii.

He is anticipated to deliver another outstanding performance as Degesu in Dragon Ball Daima. The series will also introduce two new characters, Dr. Arinsu and Gomah, voiced by Yoko Hikasa (famous for Rias Gremory) and Showtaro Morikubo (known for Shikamaru Nara), respectively.

Before the much-anticipated premiere of Dragon Ball Daima on October 11, 2024, fans can immerse themselves in the world of Dragon Ball with our rankings of the Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super sagas.
