Streamer DrLupo criticized Dr Disrespect’s fans who accused him of “turning his back on” the controversial content creator.
DrLupo and Dr Disrespect, also known as Doc, have collaborated extensively in the streaming industry. Lupo even participated in Deadrop, an online extraction shooter developed by Midnight Society, a studio co-founded by Dr Disrespect, from which he has since distanced himself.
However, Lupo severed ties with Dr Disrespect after he admitted to sending inappropriate messages to a minor in 2017.
This decision was not well received by some of Dr Disrespect’s fans. During a stream, one viewer remarked, “crazy how Lupo just turns on people.” Lupo responded firmly, emphasizing that, “you should hold every person that you respect accountable for their mistakes, too.”
Despite their history of collaboration in game development and streaming, DrLupo stated that he cannot condone unacceptable behavior towards a minor. While he acknowledged that Dr Disrespect still retains a large viewer base, DrLupo has completely cut ties and expressed a desire to avoid any association with him.

DrLupo further stated, “If anywhere along that path you go, ‘ah, that’s fine,’ you got something f***ed up in your head, dude… If it was my f***ing brother, I would say the same sh**. You do not defend that, there’s no defending it.”
DrLupo did not shy away from addressing Dr Disrespect’s fanbase. It’s worth noting that Doc returned to streaming on September 6 after a two-month break and rapidly broke his own viewership record on YouTube. In light of this, DrLupo remarked that Dr Disrespect’s viewers “don’t give a sh** because they just want their balloon animals from their clown and to move on… that’s the community that he’s grown.”
When asked if there could be room for forgiveness in this situation, DrLupo replied, “Not for me. There’s some sh** you just don’t do, man.”
