For fans eager to witness the queens express their style in the latest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the introduction of the Style Showdown mode in Dress to Impress (DTI) adds an exhilarating new dimension. Step into the shoes of the next fashion icon, or leave the stage with a memorable quote that captures the spirit of the show. In either case, prepare for a refreshing twist in gameplay!
Joining the Style Showdown
To participate in this exciting new mode, simply select Style Showdown from the server list and make your way to the designated area to enter a match. Each showdown accommodates between six to ten players, promising a vibrant competition filled with stylish rivalries. Will I be recruiting friends to join me for a fashionable face-off? Absolutely!
Ongoing Development and Player Feedback
Currently, the Style Showdown is in its beta phase, with developers actively seeking player feedback to enhance the experience. They are committed to rolling out updates based on community suggestions, so be sure to voice any ideas or changes you’d like to see through DTI’s social media channels.
High Stakes and Engaging Gameplay
While the traditional fashion competitions in DTI are enjoyable, the Style Showdown elevates the stakes dramatically. As players watch Lana strut down the runway, mimicking the flair of RuPaul, the anticipation builds. This mode features a variety of rounds, including both standard and quick rounds, each with their own distinct themes and requirements. The culmination of every round involves fellow players voting on the standout outfits (first three, then two, and eventually one).A disappointment for those eager to self-promote — voting for oneself isn’t allowed, a fact I regrettably tried to circumvent.
Mini Games and Competitive Posing
The fun doesn’t end with the fashion showcases. Players can also engage in the entertaining Pose Sync mini-game, reminiscent of the iconic lip sync battles from RPDR, where participants must pose competitively to stay in the game. On my debut in the Showdown, I proudly embraced my role as the Pose Sync assassin, even if the Grand Finale ultimately eluded me.
Anticipation for Future Updates
The Style Showdown has proven to be an engaging mode that can captivate players for hours. Looking ahead, I’m hopeful for updates that may introduce beloved elements from the show, such as the Snatch Game.
