Each player’s base is unique, and this guide provides foundational tips for crafting solid defenses. While you can personalize your base to fit your style, a few key additions can substantially enhance your security.

Incorporating Acorn Turrets into your base is a highly effective defense tactic.

To craft Acorn Turrets, you will need the following materials:

  • 2x Acorn Shell
  • 1x Acorn Top
  • 3x Silk Rope
  • 1x Flower Petal
  • 2x Weed Stems

While Acorn Turrets inflict significant damage, they require manual operation for shooting at bugs, and you’ll also need to craft their ammunition.

Opt for Rocky Rounds for easier crafting, as you can create 25 Rocky Rounds using 25x Pebblets and 3x Acid Glands. Position your turret at a higher elevation for optimal efficiency. If your structure lacks a second floor, consider adding one to enhance your defenses.

The Acorn Turret allows for precise aiming, making it challenging for enemy bugs to reach you, often neutralizing them before they can attack. Ensure you maintain a clear line of sight to any paths or stairways where the bugs might ascend.

Additionally, consider implementing traps such as Spike Traps at strategic points around your base. An effective strategy involves luring your bugs to combat the attacking foes while you operate the Acorn Turret. Your bugs will engage any enemies within their proximity, assisting in your defense.

This fundamental defensive setup is reliable and can sustain you throughout the game, including in multiplayer modes.

Currently, the hacker’s attack mechanisms can be a source of confusion. Players receive sporadic notifications indicating “Someone’s Threat” accompanied by an hourglass icon. Once the timer reaches zero, the attack commences. You’ll receive two or three warnings, yet there are instances where attacks do not occur, raising questions about potential bugs in the system.

When an attack notification appears and you attempt to sleep, the game alerts you that an attack could commence, creating tension even during rest periods. I have occasionally ignored these warnings, and surprisingly, the predicted attack did not transpire.

Typically, if the timer runs out and you refrain from manipulating time by sleeping or other methods, the attack will occur.

Regarding attack frequency, they do not occur daily but maintain a consistent presence, averaging about one every four or five days.

It’s essential to note that attacks can also occur away from your base, with the hacker alerting you to these events. If you choose to flee, the attack ceases, but this tactic can leave you vulnerable, potentially resulting in losing your buggy.
