On April 22, HYBE submitted an audit to ADOR’s management and its CEO Min Hee Jin. According to Korean news outlets, the audit was prompted by HYBE’s discovery of ADOR’s efforts to break away and establish independence.

This resulted in a shareholders’ meeting where the main objectives were to hold ADOR’s management accountable and appoint a new director from HYBE. Reports also stated that HYBE had submitted a document requesting the resignation of ADOR’s CEO, Min Hee Jin.

On April 22, Min Hee Jin issued a statement through ADOR, in response to the rumors that ILLIT had copied NewJeans. ADOR also stated that both BELIFT LAB and HYBE were accountable for the alleged plagiarism.

In addition, ADOR criticized HYBE for engaging in “media play”by making allegations that Min Hee Jin was trying to take control of the multi-label’s management. ADOR also reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the cultural successes of NewJeans.
