In a surprising twist for fans of Skyrim, a player has discovered an unconventional method to defeat dragons—by engaging them in a fiery discussion rather than resorting to combat with swords, spells, or stealth.

The innovative YouTuber known as Blurbs has developed a unique mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which transforms formidable dragon battles into lively debates centered on the intricate politics of Tamriel. This creative modification reimagines one of the game’s most recognizable adversaries, turning epic encounters into contests of intellect and verbal prowess.

According to Blurbs, the mod facilitates this unusual format by spawning a dragon near the player, along with a podium to set the stage for the debate. This means the Dragonborn doesn’t immediately draw a weapon; instead, they are allocated 30 seconds to respond to questions sourced from Twitch chat.

Engaging Dragons in Debate

The nature of the debate questions is just as eccentric as the premise itself. One inquiry provocatively questioned whether the resurgence of dragons constituted “fake news, ”while another tackled the complex issue of whether public shouting should be categorized as free speech or mass destruction.

In one memorable exchange, a prompt raised eyebrows by suggesting that ibuprofen could potentially cause vampirism in Tamriel, with Blurbs humorously attributing the blame to pharmaceutical companies. However, the dragon countered, gaining the upper hand with a witty retort: “Nonsense. Buy more ibuprofen. Use my sponsor code.”

Predictably, this spirited exchange did not favor the Dragonborn, resulting in their untimely demise for failing to sway the audience. In another round, Blurbs faced a challenging question about the potential ban of the internet due to Stormcloak propaganda and Thalmor OnlyFans content. He defensively noted he had “never seen the specified content, ”which led the dragon to triumph in the debate.

This mod is not the only instance of Skyrim capturing the spotlight in 2023. Earlier in April, the game’s extensive role-playing server, which replaces NPCs with real players, broke new records, showcasing the enduring popularity and versatility of the game.
