Escape from Tarkov has recently announced an exciting crossover with its own humorous parody, Escape from Duckov. Even if extraction shooters aren’t your genre of choice, you’ve probably come across the name Escape from Duckov at least once.
The indie title, which took the gaming community by storm, achieved over 300, 000 concurrent players in October 2025, outperforming major releases like Battlefield 6. What began as a charming duck-themed parody has evolved into a significant phenomenon worthy of its own spotlight.
Surprisingly, instead of rivalry, the developers of both games are embracing the collaboration, marking a unique moment in gaming history.
Exciting Crossover Announcement
The collaboration was officially revealed in Duckov’s trailer, which showcased new content set to launch in the game on February 10, 2025. The announcement featured a new map inspired by Escape from Tarkov and amusing duck characters influenced by familiar figures from Tarkov, such as the Scav brothers, Tagilla, and Killa. This blend of creativity promises to engage fans from both gaming communities.
Along with the crossover event, players can look forward to a new mount system and “festival content.” This update will also allow players to encounter recognizable characters from Tarkov in Duckov’s delightful setting.
A Two-Way Street
Importantly, this isn’t solely a one-sided affair. Escape from Tarkov will also receive unique content from Duckov, although details about this aspect have yet to be disclosed.

So far, the developers have hinted at potential Duckov content in Tarkov, teasing an image of a duck set against the backdrop of Tarkov’s gritty environment, playfully asking: “Wanna have a party?” This has sparked speculation among gamers about whether fans can expect cosmetic items, collectibles, or even playful cartoon ducks wandering through the intense battles of Tarkov.
While video game crossovers have become more common—think of Fortnite’s numerous collaborations with franchises like League of Legends and Street Fighter—seeing a game collaborate with its own parody is quite the rarity and adds a humorous twist to the trend.
