Despite being the special-grade sorcerer and main protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Okkotsu Yuta was the first character to return after Nobara’s departure during the Shibuya arc. He left with Miguel to another country in order to further develop his techniques and abilities, but his return was not seen or heard of.

Luckily, the Jujutsu Kaisen character made a comeback in Itadori’s Extermination Arc as the assailant of the main protagonist, Itadori. In their battle, Yuta successfully pierced Yuji’s heart, but he simultaneously utilized the reverse-cursed technique to spare his life. Yuta later disclosed that he had to resort to this strategy in order to remove Itadori from the scrutiny of the Jujutsu higher-ups.

During the Culling Games, Yuta played a crucial role and was also present in the final battle against Ryomen Sukuna. In this intense fight, the special-grade sorcerer sustained fatal injuries and was then transported to a secure area by Ui Ui’s cursed technique.

Gojo Satoru, the esteemed character from Jujutsu Kaisen, is a powerful special-grade sorcerer who is revered by all in Heaven and Earth. However, during the Shibuya arc, he was imprisoned by Kenjaku (Geto) in the Prison Realm and has not been seen since.

Despite all efforts, the most powerful sorcerer could not be contained and he resurfaces during the Culling Game arc. However, his reappearance is short-lived as he is ultimately defeated by Ryomen Sukuna in a one-on-one showdown. In chapter 260, there are hints of Gojo Satoru’s second return as his silhouette is seen standing alongside Sukuna.

Despite being the captain of the Hei and a potential successor to the Zen’in clan, Naoya’s fate as a Jujutsu Kaisen character was ultimately sealed during the Perfect Preparation arc. Maki Zen’in’s fatal injury and their mother’s subsequent betrayal, stabbing him in the back, led to his ultimate demise. Thus, Naoya’s story came to a tragic end.

Despite his previous defeat, the Jujutsu Kaisen character resurfaces in the Culling Game arc as a vengeful spirit with a sole mission to end Maki’s life. Thankfully, Maki receives guidance and training from Hagane Daido and Rokujushi Miyo, who help her develop the strength necessary to defeat the cursed spirit Naoya within his own domain expansion, the Time Cell Moon Palace.

Iori Hazenoki, a minor character in Jujutsu Kaisen, made his appearance in the Culling Game arc. He was on Reggie Star’s side and engaged in a fight against Takaba, who was allied with Fushigoro Megumi. However, after Megumi killed Reggie Star, Iori chose to withdraw from the Culling Games and there has been speculation among fans about his potential return.

However, to everyone’s surprise, he crossed paths with Kenjaku during the Shinjuku Showdown arc. As they exchanged words, Kenjaku unleashed his cursed spirits, which stealthily approached Iori. In the final moments before his demise, Takaba rushed onto the battlefield to confront Kenjaku and save Iori from the consuming cursed spirits.

Miguel, a character from the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie, was a minor antagonist in Geto’s army. Despite being one of the strongest members, he was ultimately defeated by Gojo Satoru and later became the teacher of Yuta Okkotsu at Gojo’s request.

Accompanied by Yuta, he departed to train the special-grade sorcerer, showing no indication of his return. However, to everyone’s surprise, he made a sudden comeback during the Shinjuku Showdown arc to join the final battle against Sukuna. It was during this arc that he revealed his cursed technique, Prayer Song, and used it to fight against the King of Curses. His ultimate goal was to lay his deceased king, Geto Suguru, to rest in peace.

Despite playing a significant role in the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie, Larue, one of the formidable members of Geto’s army, disappeared after the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons and showed no signs of returning. However, it was later discovered that he had joined forces with Yuki Tsukumo.

During the Shinjuku Showdown arc, Miguel and Larue both made their official return to assist in the final fight against Sukuna. This battle also unveiled Larue’s cursed technique, Heart Catch, which played a crucial role in aiding Itadori in landing multiple Black Flash attacks on Sukuna.

Undoubtedly despised by the students of Jujutsu High, Aoi Todo is a prominent character in Jujutsu Kaisen who shares a close connection with the protagonist, Itadori Yuji. In his final battle during the Shibuya arc, Aoi faced off against Mahito, who utilized his cursed technique, Idle Transfiguration, on Aoi’s hand.

Fortunately, Aoi resorted to cutting off his own hand in order to escape death and rid himself of his cursed technique, Boogie Woogie. Although Itadori emerged victorious in the battle, Aoi was left completely defeated with no possibility of returning to the battlefield.

To the surprise of many, the Jujutsu Kaisen character not only reappeared during a crucial stage of the Shinjuku Showdown arc’s final battle against Sukuna, but he also showcased his ability to manipulate cursed energy through the use of a device known as the Vibraslap.

Final Thoughts

Despite the previous return of numerous characters to the series before Nobara, it is possible that her injuries sustained from her battle with Mahito proved fatal, resulting in her death after being removed from the battlefield.

Despite not being able to predict when it will happen, there is always a possibility of her comeback since the writer of the series, Gege Akutami, is known for his unexpected twists and turns. One notable surprise was the return of Miguel and Larue during the final battle against Sukuna.
