Ex-UFC star teases potential fight with Jake Paul after Mike Tyson fight gets postponed

Former UFC fighter Darren Till hinted at a potential matchup with Jake Paul following the postponement of the YouTuber’s fight with Mike Tyson.

Considered by many to be the prominent figure in influencer boxing, Jake Paul had been preparing to go head-to-head with one of the sport’s most legendary fighters, Mike Tyson, on July 20.

Despite being 57 years old and retired, the boxer was forced to delay their upcoming fight due to health issues. While flying from Miami to Los Angeles on May 27, he experienced a flare-up of his ulcer, which led to the postponement. However, former UFC fighter Darren Till has hinted that he may step in as a replacement to fight the YouTube star.

On June 5, the 31-year-old hinted at a potential fight with ‘The Problem Child’ by posting a fight poster for ‘Paul vs. Till’ on Instagram. The caption included emojis of a moneybag, eyes, and a pinching finger.

This is not the first time that the UFC fighter has expressed interest in fighting Jake Paul. While it was initially thought that Till would be facing former boxing champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on the undercard of Paul’s bout against Tyson, he has continuously taken aim at ‘The Problem Child’. In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Till stated his desire to put an end to the trend of influencer boxing.

Despite the expected rescheduling of the fight with Tyson, Paul has a plethora of potential opponents to choose from for the highly-anticipated event in Arlington, Texas. This list includes his own older brother, Logan, who has even expressed his willingness to take on the challenge.

Other options also include KSI, who is highly anticipated by fans. However, it seems that ‘The Nightmare’ is currently focused on facing former unified super-lightweight world champion Amir Khan.

The 37-year-old made a comeback in April 2024 after serving a two-year suspension for testing positive for the banned performance-enhancing drug ostraine. Despite the current situation between KSI and Khan, the former world champion has expressed his desire to fight Paul as well and even offered to step in for Tyson if needed.

Ryan Garcia, a former WBC Lightweight boxing champion, has expressed interest in stepping into the ring as a substitute for ‘Iron Mike’. However, it remains uncertain who Jake Paul’s next opponent will be.
