Ex-world champion claims he would go to prison for Mike Tyson if Jake Paul hurts him

Former world cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew has expressed his deep concern for Mike Tyson’s well-being in his upcoming fight against Jake Paul, stating that it would be devastating for him to witness Tyson getting hurt.

The former champion is so determined to seek revenge for one of his boxing heroes that he has stated he would willingly spend a few weeks in prison if it meant getting back at Paul for their upcoming fight on July 20.

Paul, who is 27 years old, will face off against Tyson, who will turn 58 before their scheduled fight. The match will take place at the AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas and will be captured by the Netflix cameras.

The duo began their initial press conference to promote the match in New York on Monday and will reunite for a second press conference in Texas on Thursday.

Despite being in his late 50s, Tyson was once considered one of the most dominant heavyweight champions in the history of the sport. However, the decision for Paul to fight him has sparked criticism from traditional boxing fans.

Despite the mixed opinions towards him, Paul’s transition from YouTube sensation to boxer has solidified his position as one of the most popular figures in the sport, evident through his record-breaking ticket sales and pay-per-view purchases.

Despite this, Bellew remains unimpressed with the fact that all parties involved have agreed to make the fight happen, especially now that it has been approved as a professional bout.

“Bellew revealed to Boyle Sports that Mike is most likely receiving a payout of $20-50 million for this fight, and he admitted that he would also take on the opportunity if given the chance.”

It is often said that everyone has a price, but if Jake Paul were to harm Mike Tyson, it would deeply trouble me. In fact, if I were to come face to face with Jake Paul after such an incident, I wouldn’t hesitate to confront him. I would even be willing to face the consequences and spend time in jail for standing up for Mike Tyson.

“It’s a sorrowful day as the contest lacks professionalism due to the fact that only women are fighting two minute rounds, while men do not. However, Jake Paul’s stubbornness has led him to insist on including it in Mike Tyson’s record.”

It is my hope that Mike will quickly knock out Jake and end the fight in only six or seven seconds. Considering Tyson’s age, he could easily be Jake Paul’s grandfather, which is quite disheartening. This event should have remained as just an exhibition.

“That’s just his nature, always seeking attention and recognition. My only wish is for Mike to have one more powerful punch left in him. While he may have lost some of the speed and precision, his signature punch remains strong. If he manages to land a right hand on Jake Paul’s chin, he will surely knock him out.”

At 58 years old, it is incredibly scary as this is show business, not boxing.

Despite generating $25 billion last year, Netflix appears to have little concern for Mike’s health. He is well aware that they do not care about him, as he has experienced it firsthand. It is disheartening that no one seems to care, despite Mike’s past experiences and accomplishments.

The lead-up to the highly anticipated match between Paul and Tyson has already been filled with tension, as Tyson has issued a warning to his opponent that their clash on July 20th will put his life at stake.
