The June 7th episode of “The Seasons: Zico’s Artist”on KBS 2TV featured a special guest appearance by EXO’s Suho, who shared anecdotes about his recent highly successful first solo concert.
Zico mentioned on the broadcast that he had heard of a song that brings comfort to the audience during concerts. In reply, Suho added that there was a song titled ‘For You Now’.
He went on to say, “The lyrics of this song were inspired by a dear friend of mine. We were inseparable during our trainee days and provided each other with constant support. Even during difficult times, we would exchange encouraging messages. Listening to my friend’s music always brought me comfort.”
Furthermore, Suho revealed, “I have always felt a sense of indebtedness towards him. I believe it is now my responsibility to provide him with comfort, and I poured my heart into writing the lyrics,”as he disclosed a behind-the-scenes story.
Upon hearing this, Zico proceeded to inquire, “Did you solely focus on that friend when working on the song?”to which Suho affirmed with a nod.
As Suho appeared to become emotional, Zico genuinely admitted, “I am confident that the person who inspired this song (our friend) will also be filled with joy upon hearing it. We all hope that Suho’s heartfelt message will reach him.”Following their performance of “For You Now”, Suho shared his thoughts, stating, “I pray that our friend will accept my feelings and I am determined to sing about the love and care I have received from him. I aspire to be an artist who brings comfort to our audience through my music and acting.”
Moreover, the lyrics of “For You Now” , written by Suho, are widely believed to be a tribute to the late SHINee member, Jonghyun.
