Experience Enhanced Movement in Warzone: Grapple Hooks & Wall Jumping Now Available in All Modes

Following extensive testing, grapple hooks and wall jumping are set to become standard features in Warzone with the arrival of Season 3 on April 2.

When Black Ops 7 launched in November 2025, the introduction of wall jumping stood out as a significant enhancement, enabling players to propel themselves off walls to attain elevated positions and even perform successive jumps. However, when the game merged with Warzone, this dynamic feature was surprisingly absent.

Raven Software took steps to incorporate this movement mechanic by including it in various limited-time game modes. Nonetheless, the primary battle royale and Resurgence modes remained with the older mechanics reminiscent of Black Ops 6.

Season 3: The Introduction of Grapple Hooks and Wall Jumping

That is about to change, as the new season will officially integrate wall jumping alongside grapple hooks.“Prepare to leap, dive, and grapple through Call of Duty: Warzone, ” the developers announced in their blog post here.“Wall jumping and Grappling Hooks will be available at the onset of the season for Battle Royale and Resurgence matches, including setups in Verdansk!”

Players familiar with grapple hooks will find these familiar since they were introduced in Black Ops Royale during Season 2, where they serve as ground loot and can be equipped in the Tactical slot. This allows players to swiftly ascend tall structures or traverse from one rooftop to another seamlessly.

Unlike grapple hooks, wall jumping will be accessible to all players right away, meaning there’s no need to hunt for specific loot or perks to unlock this mechanic. Right from the start, players can execute jumps off various smooth surfaces.

The inclusion of both features signals a transformative shift in how Warzone will be played. With enhanced mobility options, players will have new strategies at their disposal to navigate the map and outmaneuver opponents.

Anticipation is high for the Season 3 update, as it also heralds the first significant map rotation in the game’s history.
