The developer clarified that the Spiritborn would not likely adopt a sword and shield playstyle similar to Paladins, as initially thought. Despite Blizzard’s focus on moving away from nostalgia, fans are anticipating the new class to incorporate some elements from the Witch Doctors.
In a recent interview, Associate Game Director of Diablo 4, Brent Gibson, expressed the team’s desire for a class that embodied a jungle-like essence. He mentioned that they are currently exploring unique abilities to distinguish it from the existing five classes.
