Explaining the Preorder Bonuses for Dungeons & Dragons Core Rulebook

Wizards of the Coast has revealed that preorder bonuses will be available for the upcoming revised editions of the Dungeons & Dragons Core Rulebooks, set to release in late 2024 and early 2025.

As we approach the release of the new Player’s Handbook on September 17, 2024, more information is being unveiled about the long-awaited rules revision for Dungeons & Dragons. This will be followed by the Dungeon Master’s Guide in November 2024 and the Monster Manual in February 2025.

All three books are currently available for preorder through the D&D Beyond Marketplace, and Wizards of the Coast has also revealed that customers who pre-purchase their copies will receive special bonuses.

Customers who pre-purchase the upcoming D&D Core Rulebooks directly from Wizards of the Coast will be eligible for the following digital extras:

  • 50th anniversary Gold Dragon mini
  • The Dragons of D&D digital art book
  • D&D Beyond Gold Dice set

After verifying with WOTC, it has been determined that you will receive these rewards regardless of the format you choose. A bundle containing both digital and physical versions will be available, as well as the option to purchase either physical or digital versions separately. It is not required to order all three books in order to receive the bonuses.

Please be aware that none of these rewards are tangible and they will not be immediately accessible.

The Gold Dice feature is currently accessible on D&D Beyond and will remain available on your account upon the release of the Player’s Handbook (2024). Once released, The Dragons of D&D will be sent as a PDF via email to all customers who preordered any of the books.

Furthermore, the Gold Dragon mini is specifically designed for the official virtual tabletop, which is currently in the process of being developed. Those who purchase it will be granted access once the game moves into Closed Beta later this year.
