Exploring All Game Modes in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals has officially launched, inviting players to immerse themselves in a diverse array of game modes featuring iconic characters from the Marvel universe. Developed by Netease, this new title aims to compete with popular shooters like Overwatch by integrating beloved heroes and villains into a dynamic, hero shooter format.

Marvel Rivals is designed as a 6v6 third-person shooter where teams engage in fierce battles across multiple game modes. Below, we provide an overview of the three core game modes available in Season 0.

Overview of Game Modes

1. Domination

In Domination mode, teams compete for control over a designated point on a compact map. The objective is clear: capture and hold the point until its status reaches 100%. After successfully securing the point, players will move to a different small map where the process repeats. The first team to capture two points will emerge victorious.

The maps featured in this mode include:

  • Royal Palace (Yggsgard)
  • Birnin T’Challa (Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda)
  • Hell’s Heaven (Hydra Charteris Base)

2. Convoy

The Convoy game mode introduces a strategic twist, with teams assigned randomly to offense or defense roles at the match’s outset. Offense players must escort a moving cart to the end of the map, while the defending team strives to thwart their progress. This mode challenges both teamwork and tactical prowess.

Convoy mode features the following maps:

  • Yggdrasill Path (Yggsgard)
  • Spider-Islands (Tokyo 2099)

3. Convergence

Much like Convoy, Convergence also assigns teams to offense and defense roles at random. The offensive team’s goal is to capture three designated checkpoints within a specified timeframe, while defenders must prevent this from happening. This mode emphasizes strategic positioning and teamwork to control key areas of the map.

The Convergence maps available include:

  • Shin-Shibuya (Tokyo 2099)
  • Hall of Djalia (Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda)
  • Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface
