The highly anticipated premiere of the new Fairy Tail anime is scheduled for July 7, 2024 in Japan. Fans are eagerly awaiting the new season after a five-year gap since the conclusion of the series’ last season in September 2019, which was followed by the release of 100 Years Quest.
New Trailer Dropped
The first anime trailer for Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest has been released ahead of its premiere. Earlier this week, the anime also unveiled character trailers for Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, and Wendy. The trailer, featuring the theme song “Story”by Da-iCE, can be viewed below.

The popular boy band Da-iCE, known for their five members, previously performed the song “DREAMIN’ ON”for the 23rd opening of the anime One Piece. The official website of Fairy Tail, Fairy Tail’s official website, has recently announced that the ending theme song for 100 Years Quest will be “Tomo yo, Koko de Sayonara da”(“My Friend, We Say Our Farewells Here”) by the female idol group Boku ga Mitekatta Aozora.

Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest Team and Actors
The new Fairy Tail anime is being directed by director Shinji Ishihara, who also serves as the chief director for the series. J.C. Staff is responsible for the animation, with Toshinori Watanabe (known for works such as Edens Zero, Mix: Meisei Story, and Tokyo Ghoul: re) at the helm as director. Supervising the scripts is Atsuhiro Tomioka, who has previously written for numerous episodes of the original Fairy Tail anime. Yurika Sako (known for her work on Edens Zero) is in charge of character design, while Shōji Hata returns as sound director and Yasuharu Takanashi returns to compose the music, both of whom
J.C. Staff is widely recognized for producing popular anime titles including DanMachi, Food Wars, and Toradora. The studio will be taking over animation duties from the previous animators at Bridge, Satelight, Dentsu Inc., A-1 Pictures, and CloverWorks for the series.
The main voice cast for 100 Years Quest has been announced, with all actors reprising their original roles. Tetsuya Kakihara will voice Natsu Dragneel, Aya Hirano will portray Lucy Heartfilia, Sayaka Ohara will play Erza Scarlet, and Yuichi Nakamura will voice Gray Fullbuster. Satomi Sato will voice Wendy Marvell, and Happy and Carla will be voiced by Rie Kugimiya and Yui Horie, respectively.
About Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest
The ‘100 Years Quest’ undertaken by Natsu’s group is their most difficult assignment to date. They must successfully seal the Five Dragon Gods, who have the ability to cause catastrophic destruction on a global scale, at any cost.
Touka’s arrival to the Fairy Tail guild has brought a new energy. Despite seamlessly fitting in with the group, it is eventually revealed that she carries a hidden agenda.
