The most recent update for Fallout 4 has resolved a persistent problem with Codsworth that was causing players’ games to freeze at the start of their adventure.
A well-known problem with Fallout 4 is causing players to become stuck and unable to progress in one of the game’s initial main quests.
Before, whenever someone downloaded every item from the Creation Club, which features new items and gear from Bethesda, it resulted in Codsworth freezing up when trying to talk to him after leaving the Vault.
As a result, players were unable to explore the neighborhood with him, rendering it impossible to make progress in that mission and any future quests.
To resolve the problem, players previously had to remove all Creation Club items from their game in order for Codsworth to function correctly. This process required them to restart their entire playthrough.
Despite not being advertised as one of the main fixes, the latest next-gen update for Fallout 4 seems to have successfully eliminated the bug.
