A Fallout fan simultaneously witnessed the bombs falling in the new Fallout television series as they experienced the same moment in Fallout 4 VR.
Ever since the Fallout TV show premiered on Amazon Prime last week, there has been a renewed interest in the Fallout games. While numerous fans are revisiting the post-apocalyptic wasteland, one fan has found a unique way to immerse themselves in the Fallout franchise.
GingasVR, a VR modder and content creator, recently shared their thoughts on returning to Fallout 4 VR after watching the TV show. While reliving the moment of the bombs dropping in the game, they were also reminded of the same event as depicted in the TV show.
The brief video showcases GingasVR playing through the beginning of Fallout 4 VR. However, instead of the usual opening sequence, an extra window is displayed playing the Fallout TV show simultaneously.

Both the beginning of the TV show and Fallout 4 are set on the same date in the lore of Fallout: October 23, 2077.
Both the show and the game are set in distinct locations, as Fallout 4 is situated in Boston and New England while the TV series is located in California. GingasVR expertly captures the iconic moment from two different perspectives by perfectly timing the scene in the retro-futuristic world of Fallout where the bombs are dropping.
Normally, it is not possible to watch TV shows while playing Fallout 4 VR. Nevertheless, GingasTV, an experienced VR modder, managed to configure their headset to allow for simultaneous viewing of a TV series and playing the game.
Although GingasVR did not disclose the mod or method they utilized to watch the show in-game, they did share the ‘Fallout 4 Essentials Overhaul mod’ they developed in the comments of their tweet on X/Twitter.
