In 2022, Taco Bell conducted a trial of two Cheez-It dishes, which were met with great demand from customers. As a result, these items will be added to the menu in 2024.
Initially, Taco Bell experimented with two Cheez-It inspired dishes at a single location in Irvine, California. The response was overwhelmingly positive, as the fusion of these beloved snack brands was highly sought after by customers. As a result, these items will soon be available at all Taco Bell locations nationwide starting in 2024.
In February 2024, Taco Bell hosted Live Más Live, an event centered around their fans. At this event, attendees got a sneak peek at the company’s upcoming plans, had the chance to try new menu items, and received complimentary food and merchandise.
The Bell revealed at the event that the Cheez-It collaboration had successfully completed its testing stage and would soon be available in stores.
Expect to see some super-sized cheesy snacks
The new collab is said to drop in Summer 2024.
The initial item on the menu will be a unique twist on a traditional Mexican tostada. Instead of a fried tortilla base, customers will enjoy a massive Cheez-It topped with seasoned beef, salsa, sour cream, and lettuce. This Cheez-It tostada is 16 times larger than a standard Cheez-It and can be purchased separately to complement any Taco Bell meal. It’s time to unleash your imagination and mix and match with this new addition.
The latest addition to the menu is the Cheez-It Crunchwrap. It will be made with the same ingredients as the traditional Crunchwrap – seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, crispy lettuce, and sour cream – but with a twist. Instead of a regular tortilla, it will feature a giant Cheez-It as the outer layer.
Cheez-It is known for their innovative collaborations, including a unique project in 2023 where they designed a Cheez-It themed rest stop in Joshua Tree. This rest stop even featured a gas pump that would fill your car with crackers. In March 2024, Cheez-It partnered with Hidden Valley to create a cheesy twist on America’s beloved dip, ranch.

When will the Taco Bell x Cheez-It range be available?
While Taco Bell has not revealed the exact date for the release of these new menu items, food blogger @snackolator (who attended Live Màs Live) confirmed on Instagram that Taco Bell did provide a general timeline in their announcement. According to the blogger, “At the Live Mas Live event, it was confirmed that the Taco Bell x Cheez-It collaboration will take place this year, and I heard that Summer was the goal… So we can expect to see it within the next few months.”
The prices for the items have not yet been announced. However, during a test in California in 2022, the tostado was priced at $2.49 and the Crunchwrap was priced at $4.49.
At Live Màs Live, it was revealed that Taco Bell is preparing to release a Baja Blast gelato in anticipation of summer. This comes after the brand introduced a variety of other Baja Blast products, such as Doritos, in 2024 to commemorate the beloved drink’s birthday.
