It is expected that every Marvel movie will have a plethora of unexpected cameos, and in the case of Deadpool & Wolverine, they managed to keep them a secret successfully.
As it approaches its opening weekend, we have now been introduced to all of its components. With the combination of X-Men, individual superheroes, and previous MCU films, there is one never-before-seen role that stands out as the movie’s secret weapon.
Despite the cancellation of his solo movie, Channing Tatum has finally joined the MCU as Gambit, a mutant with the power to manipulate kinetic energy, as seen in the X-Men comics.
One fan expressed surprise on Reddit that a certain cameo turned out to be good. They were impressed by Channing Tatum’s portrayal of Gambit, despite his cartoonish accent, and appreciated the badass scenes he was given.

Despite three different directors being involved and producers attempting to delay its release, the film was initially scheduled for May 2020. However, the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney ultimately halted its production.
According to another fan, they were thrilled to see Gambit’s design and were pleasantly surprised when they realized it was Channing Tatum during the fight scene. They admitted to not being very good at recognizing faces.
According to another viewer, Gambit’s accent was one of the highlights of [Deadpool & Wolverine] and added a comedic element. Deadpool’s remarks about struggling to understand Gambit only enhanced the enjoyment.
It has been noted by fans that Tatum’s portrayal of Gambit includes a strong Cajun accent. This is even acknowledged in Deadpool & Wolverine, where the Merc jokingly questions if Tatum’s dialect coach was the Minions.
