The director of Fast 11 has recently provided an exhilarating update to fans on the upcoming and final installment of the successful franchise, revealing the start date for filming.
The latest installment of the main Fast and Furious franchise has received a much-anticipated update from director Louis Leterrier. He has confirmed the film’s new release date and announced when filming will commence.
During a CCXP MX panel, Leterrier confirmed to Collider that his horror movie will be filmed this summer and is set to finish on September 15th. He also mentioned that production for Fast will begin on September 16th.
The release date for Fast and Furious 11, originally set for April 5, 2025, has been delayed to sometime in the summer of 2026, as confirmed by the director.
Some fans have already begun to share their anticipation for the upcoming movie, with one expressing, “Fans are eagerly awaiting Fast 11 like…”and including a gif of Tyrese Gibson saying, “We hungry.”
A fan also expressed the same feeling by stating, “This is going to mark the end of an era,”and a third fan commented, “I will be in attendance.”
Fast 11 will serve as both the second installment of 2023’s Fast X and the ultimate conclusion to the main Fast and Furious series.
Despite rumors that the Fast franchise may be coming to an end in a trilogy, franchise star Vin Diesel has hinted that the studio may have plans to continue the series beyond that. His co-star Michelle Rodriguez also added fuel to the fire by commenting to Us Magazine, “It’s three acts in any story.”
