On June 7th, Dispatch reported that Attrakt had filed a complaint against Ahn Sung-il, five employees of The Givers, and Son Seung-yeon. The allegations include forgery and unauthorized use of private documents, as well as document forgery and use, copyright infringement, and breach of trust.
It is alleged that Ahn Sung-il submitted a modified and unauthorized version of the copyright share confirmation for the remix of “Under the Full Moon”to the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA). In April 2021, a director named Baek and a finance officer are accused of forging the name and signature of Attrakt’s former CEO, Kim Jong-eon, on a contract. This fraudulent action resulted in a change in the distribution of copyright shares.
The six individuals who make up The Givers are currently being charged with breach of trust. In the complaint, Attrakt claimed that the accused had violated the trust of the company and unlawfully profited from the copyright shares of ‘Under the Full Moon’.
In June of last year, FIFTY FIFTY members filed for a preliminary injunction to halt the enforceability of their exclusive contracts. As a result, Attrakt accused Ahn Sung-il of being behind the members’ decision to leave. After conducting an investigation, the police discovered evidence that supported charges of business interference, destruction of electronic records, and embezzlement against Ahn Sung-il. Consequently, he was sent to the prosecution without being detained.
