Multiple broadcast insiders have reported that a fire broke out on the morning of May 16th at a filming studio located in the CJ ENM Center in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The incident is said to have been caused by an issue on the filming set.
As a consequence of the accident, members of aespa, including Winter who had recently experienced pneumothorax, reported feeling unwell. As a result, the group’s pre-recording schedule for their comeback stage had to be canceled.
aespa’s performance of the double title track “Supernova” from their first full-length album (released on May 13th) was scheduled for “M Countdown” that day. However, the resumption of recording is still uncertain.
