Fortnite’s highly anticipated Season OG is set to make a comeback, and the newly announced “Remix” theme hints at some significant updates for Chapter 2.
As the launch of the next Fortnite season approaches, Epic Games has shared familiar teasers with content creators, revealing that this upcoming season will be titled Remix. The OG nostalgia season is set to revisit Chapter 2, bringing back beloved elements such as its iconic map, weapons, items, and more.
Although the Marvel-centric Chapter 5 Season 4 is nearing its end, many specifics about the features of the upcoming season have remained undisclosed until now.
Japanese Fortnite creator Rejekun, who had the honor of having his own Locker Bundle in Chapter 5 Season 2, posted a YouTube video on October 22 revealing a care package that teases the new Remix season.
In the video, he begins by unboxing the contents and translating a promotional note provided in Japanese which reads:
“It’s time to play the B-side of your favorite album. Do you remember Chapter 2? Let’s dive back in with fresh beats. Let’s drop the needle and strike gold this season. Welcome to Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix.”
Inside the box, he discovered nine unique gold pins and a cassette tape that played a short clip of what is presumed to be the soundtrack for Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix, featuring Marshmello.
The most intriguing items were the pins, showcasing classic elements likely to be featured in the new season, including remixed versions of beloved skins. Notable examples include a hybrid skin combining Midas and Meowscles, along with the first new variation of the popular TNTina skin.
According to reliable leakers like iFireMonkey and HYPEX, each pin was analyzed, and they speculate the following elements might return with a new twist next season:
- Remixed skin of Midas and Meowscles
- Ocean remix skin
- Remixed TNTina skin
- Rippley remix skin
- Sharks
- Boogie Bombs
- Misty Meadows point of interest (POI)
- Zero Point butterfly rift
A leaked Fortnite 2024 Roadmap suggests that the upcoming OG season will take players back to Seasons 1-3 of Chapter 2, during which all the aforementioned features were originally introduced.
