Fortnite Developer Continues to Tease Non-Existent Mythic Weapon, Sparking Outrage Among Players

Epic Games has disappointed Fortnite players by building up anticipation for a mythic weapon in the patch notes, only to have it absent from the game.

Fortnite’s Absolute Doom, the fifth chapter of Season 4, brought an array of mythic weapons to please players. The patch notes revealed that the lineup would feature the Dual Micro SMGs, the Monarch Pistol, and the Sovereign Shotgun.

In Marvel-inspired locations on the map, you can locate two of the three items mentioned. Unfortunately, it was discovered that the legendary Dual Micro SMGs were not present, causing a disruption.

Fortnite players expressed their frustration on Reddit upon realizing that the Dual Micro SMGs were missing from the game. They were also disappointed to find that Gwenpool, the NPC who was supposed to drop them, was not present in Fortnite. The only way to interact with her was through a hidden mission, but even then, no SMGs were given.

Players noted that the patch notes were lacking other important information as well. They pointed out that items like armored walls, flowberries, and chug splashes were present in the game, but were not included in the release notes for Season 4.

“The player was furious with the patch notes, stating that they were a chaotic jumble. They failed to mention any significant alterations and as a result, players are now stuck with a non-existent weapon.”

The previews provided by Epic were criticized by another user for being misleading. They noted, “It’s frustrating that they showcased a minigun in the island preview without mentioning that C4 was brought back in the previous season.”

The dissatisfaction is indicative of larger problems with Epic’s recent updates. A player commented, “The way Epic introduces new weapons is perplexing. It would have been a smarter decision to introduce the mini gun and lock-on rocket launcher earlier.”

Despite its highly anticipated release, Chapter 5 Season 3 of Fortnite received overwhelmingly negative reviews from both fans and popular streamers, such as Ninja, who went as far as labeling it as “the worst season ever.”Similarly, Ninja expressed dissatisfaction with the current season, venting during a live stream that he would rather play Call of Duty instead.
