Start Time for the Fortnite Godzilla Event
The Fortnite Titan Takedown event will kick off at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM GMT on Friday, January 17, 2025. During this time, portals will begin appearing intermittently throughout matches, granting you the ability to become the colossal Godzilla and instill fear across the map.
According to the official blog, Godzilla will be a presence in matches until Chapter 6 Season 1 concludes on February 21. This provides players with a window of over a month to complete various Godzilla Quests and unlock exclusive rewards.

Is There Downtime Before the Event?
The good news for players is that there will be no downtime prior to the Fortnite Godzilla event. All essential files and content for the event were integrated into the game with the 33.20 update released on January 14, allowing players to jump straight into the action.
Will Kong Participate in the Titan Takedown Event?
As of now, Kong will not be featured in the Titan Takedown event. Many fans had anticipated a thrilling Godzilla vs Kong encounter, yet Kong has not appeared in any promotional materials leading up to the event.
However, this does not rule out the possibility of Kong’s inclusion in future updates. With a Kong skin already available in the in-game shop, players might have the opportunity to transform into the giant ape later and reenact the iconic battles from the 2021 movie.
