Speculations and leaks surrounding Fortnite suggest that Galactus, the infamous Marvel antagonist last seen in December 2020, may make a comeback.
The Nexus War, based on Marvel, ended with a spectacular finale during the late 2020 event of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4. Although Galactus only made a brief appearance, his actions caused enough chaos to prompt players to band together and prevent him from destroying the Island.
Ever since that time, Galactus has not made an appearance in the game. However, a recent leak of the roadmap, shared by ShiinaBR on Twitter, hints at a potential new Marvel season coming in August 2024. Despite doubts expressed by fans and content creators, the roadmap has been proven correct with the release of the Billie Eilish skin.
Recently, a new development has emerged, providing further evidence for the potential of additional Marvel-themed material. Twitter user “Egyptian_Leaker”and Rezztro recently compiled a list of all the non-player character dialogue added to Fortnite’s 29.40 update. One particular line from Anwar stands out, in which he discusses the Endless Stars: “Many eons ago, in a distant place, a ravenous creature devoured countless stars to satiate its hunger.”
While some creators and fans believe the Anwar dialogue is a reference to The Nothing, the ultimate antagonist in Fortnite, others interpret it as a nod to Galactus due to the character’s moniker of “Devourer of Worlds”.

Both Epic Games and Marvel have yet to confirm if they are planning another major collaboration event.
Currently, Epic is occupied with concluding the Greek-inspired Chapter 5 Season 2, set to finish on May 24. On the same day, Season 3 is scheduled to launch, potentially allowing for the speculated Marvel season to coincide with the beginning of Season 4.
