A Fortnite player shared his concept for a SpongeBob collaboration, and players absolutely loved the incredible creation.
Fortnitecollaborations with iconic media is one of the most consistent strengths of the Epic Games title. Open the in-game store, and you’ll see almost every character from your favorite show, anime, or video game available.
These collaborations quickly inspired players to create their wish lists of what they would like to see. Recently, a player shared a “Lethal Company” concept for immediate purchase. Another was hoping for a fourth collaboration with DBZ.
However, a new concept is coming into play. It might just be among the best fan-made works to date.
Fortnite Player Creates SpongeBob Skins
On the Fortnite subreddit, player u/AustinTheBear shared several images of his concept. He shared his ideas for a collaboration with SpongeBob in the game. The level of detail is incredible, with beloved characters like Gary the Snail, and even the trusty spatula from SpongeBob’s Krusty Krab.
The details don’t stop there, as AustinTheBear shared concepts for LEGO Fortnite, Festival, Rocket Racing, and an exceptionally detailed loading screen.
“F***n, you rock,” one player said, summing up the entire comments section. A few players were concerned about the Bubble Buddy player skin due to visual issues. One ingenious trick recommended was to make SpongeBob muscular, similar to how Peter Griffin was incorporated into Fortnite.
Given that Fortnite has skins for almost everything, SpongeBob doesn’t seem as unlikely as it would have been in the early stages of the game.
