Fortnite players blast Epic for “unfair” Paradigm skin situation

The temporary reappearance of the rare Paradigm skin in Fortnite caused an uproar among the community, with certain players deeming it to be an unfair situation.

The return of an extremely rare skin to the game on August 7 shocked the Fortnite community.

Naturally, a few players who were fortunate enough to log in during that specific time frame were able to quickly acquire the skin. At first, Epic had intended to take the skin out of the lockers of recent purchasers, as it had been unintentionally released.

Shortly after, they announced that those who had purchased the skin could not only keep it, but also receive a refund for their V-Bucks. This decision prompted backlash from players who were unable to purchase the skin, as seen in a thread on Reddit.

“The reason for the quick removal was simply a mistake, as they had planned to take it away from all users. However, since they have now chosen not to do so, it would be unfair to penalize those who were unable to access and purchase it.”

Moreover, players expressed that this type of scenario only results in “favoring certain individuals while penalizing others,”and as a result, they requested for the developers to reintroduce her back into the store.

Many others in the comments also shared the same viewpoint. Some even mentioned specific players who would prevent others from obtaining the skin, even if they didn’t have it before the incident.

“One user responded, “It is quite unfair that shop resets occur at 2 AM in the EU, as most people are asleep during this time.”

One user expressed the sentiment of “I got mine, screw you”using a crude phrase.

Some players argued that the skin should be distributed for free to all players. “It’s unfair that those who purchased her will get a refund and essentially get her for free. Shouldn’t that mean that she should be free for everyone? What a joke,”one user commented.

“The most questionable aspect of this situation is that they are reportedly offering refunds to those who made the purchase. Why? If they are refunding the V-Bucks, they should also remove the skin that was purchased or provide it to everyone for free,”one person commented.
