Fortnite players claim skin rarities removed to justify “overpriced” Avatar skins

Despite the recent release of the new Avatar skins in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, players are expressing anger over the high prices of the skins, believing them to be excessively expensive.

The Avatar skins from Fortnite have recently been released in Chapter 5 Season 2, but players are expressing disappointment with their high cost and are urging the developers to lower them. Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender were eagerly anticipating the chance to play as their beloved characters, but the steep prices may prevent some from being able to do so.

A post on the FortniteBR subreddit by Reddit user ‘vincenzodraws’ expressed dissatisfaction with the pricing of the new Avatar skins in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, stating that they were significantly higher than they should be. The user also urged the developers to prioritize the value of their players.

Furthermore, the OP noted that the developers were increasing the prices of skins that were deemed to be overpriced, as rarity in Fortnite shops had also been removed in the latest update.

Despite the fact that Frieza and Cell each had 3 and 2 styles respectively, costing a total of 2,300 V-Bucks, players are outraged by the 2,000 V-Buck charge for each character’s skin. In comparison, the new Zuko and Katara bundle is priced at 3,200 VB, causing further frustration among players.

A few players proceeded to make jokes about how “skinflation sucks” in Fortnite, while others commented that they were initially excited to acquire all of the skins but ended up deciding not to purchase any due to the high prices.

As an increasing number of players speak out against the prices in the recent Avatar: The Last Airbender event, it remains to be seen what action the developers will take.
