Epic Games has officially announced the return of the ‘Caffeinated’ emote featuring Sabrina Carpenter in Fortnite with an important update: it will now include the original version of her hit song, Espresso.
Given Sabrina Carpenter’s overwhelming success throughout 2024, including a top-charting album and numerous popular singles, her inclusion in Fortnite felt almost certain.
However, the excitement of the collaboration was somewhat muted when it launched. While her chart-topping track, Espresso, was available in a recognizable Jam Track format, the Caffeinated emote utilized a fast-paced remix dubbed ‘Double Shot’ instead.
This decision sparked considerable disappointment among players and fans of Carpenter, leading to the emote being pulled from the game. Fortunately, developers have now confirmed that it will make a comeback featuring the original audio.
“We are updating the Caffeinated Emote to play the originally intended audio of Espresso in the upcoming v32.00 build,” the Fortnite Status account shared on X.
The v32.00 patch will mark the introduction of Chapter 2 Remix and conclude Chapter 5 Season 4, with the release scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2024, as indicated by the current Battle Pass timer.

This adjustment will also benefit those who previously purchased the remix version of the Caffeinated emote. Epic has reassured players that those who would rather have the original can easily request a refund.
“Anyone who purchased Caffeinated prior to this adjustment will be able to return it without spending a ticket if they prefer,” they added.
While fans will need to wait until the next Fortnite update to enjoy the emote, there will surely be relief among those who hesitated to buy it, knowing it will soon return as initially intended.
The upcoming Chapter 2 Remix update promises a plethora of new and nostalgic content, including revamped popular skins and beloved map locations.
