Indeed, Playground Games has confirmed via X/Twitter that the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5 will offer crossplay compatibility with PC and Xbox consoles. While the initial confirmation was focused on the interaction between PC and PS5 users, it’s widely anticipated that crossplay with Xbox consoles will also be supported, similar to mechanics seen in games like Sea of Thieves.

Cross-Progression Support for Forza Horizon 5 on PS5

In contrast to crossplay features, there will be no cross-progression or cross-save features available in Forza Horizon 5 for PS5 users. This was also confirmed by the Forza Horizon team on X/Twitter. Unfortunately, players will not be able to carry over their gameplay progress from other systems.

This limitation applies to the Steam version of the game as well, highlighting a split progression system where PS5 users cannot access their saved data from different platforms.

Despite these restrictions, the PS5 version will feature the same extensive content available on Xbox and Steam. This includes access to over 900 vehicles, and players will have the opportunity to purchase previously released Car Packs, as well as the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions. Moreover, Playground Games is set to release a forthcoming free update named Horizon Realms, which aims to curate and celebrate the community’s favorite aspects from Evolving Worlds.

As of now, there has been no announcement regarding PlayStation 5 Pro support for Forza Horizon 5, apart from the initial announcement issued by Playground Games.
