Exciting news for fans of the popular Roblox game Grow a Garden: the long-awaited trading feature is set to make its debut! After receiving countless requests from millions of players across various social media platforms, the game’s creator, Jandel, has confirmed that this addition is on the horizon.
Since its remarkable surge in popularity last June, when it became the first Roblox game to outshine record player counts previously held by major titles like Fortnite, Grow a Garden has maintained a robust player base. It boasts millions of active users at any given time throughout the day, showcasing its massive appeal.
The Upcoming Trading Feature
In a public server, players often encounter individuals proposing trades. Regrettably, this has fostered a breeding ground for scams, where dishonest players may receive items without reciprocating. To address this issue, a well-structured trading system is being implemented. Jandel has announced that the feature is expected to launch between late July and early August. Based on his history of rolling out updates on Saturdays, it is likely that trading will become available on either July 26 or August 2, 2025.

Jandel shared this exciting update via a Discord post, where he also addressed some other concerns raised by the community. One major point of contention was the extremely low, 0.08% chance of hatching the new Kitsune pet introduced in the recent Zen update on July 19. Jandel openly acknowledged this issue, stating, “We won’t do this again, no excuses, my bad for this; I wasn’t respecting the community.”
Additionally, in response to feedback about “repetitive events, ”Jandel admitted he feels creatively drained and expressed the need for input from the community for future event ideas. He remarked, “The honest answer to this is I have no good ideas for events; I have been doing new events now for three months. Maybe I am creatively drained, but if you want to suggest cool event ideas, I read the starboard every day for insights.”
Jandel remains actively engaged with his fanbase, not just on Discord but also through TikTok, where he has garnered millions of followers. This diverse communication strategy underscores his commitment to his community and their feedback.
As the anticipation builds for the trading feature, players are encouraged to keep an eye on official channels for the latest updates. The forthcoming changes aim to enhance the gaming experience and strengthen the community within Grow a Garden.
