In the latest episode of MBC’s “Good Day, ” which aired on February 2nd, 2023, G-Dragon made a highly anticipated appearance alongside a star-studded cast of fellow celebrities born in 1988. Among those present were notable figures such as actor Kim Soo-hyun, Lee Soo-hyuk, Im Si-wan, Hwang Kwang-hee, and Jung Hae-in.

G-Dragon

During the episode, G-Dragon visited the studio of well-known artist Kian84 along with producer Code Kunst. Kian84, an ardent fan of G-Dragon, excitedly performed a rendition of BIGBANG’s iconic song “Still Life.” After his performance, Kian84 expressed concern over rumors he had encountered regarding BIGBANG’s retirement while en route to an amusement park.

G-Dragon appeared taken aback by these retirement claims, stating, “I never said that, ” with a look of confusion. When Kian84 expressed his sadness over the news he had yet read, G-Dragon humorously remarked, “I came back because you like me so much, ” which lightened the mood.

Kian84 further conveyed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you, Ji-yong (G-Dragon’s real name) for coming back. You belong with the public.” G-Dragon reminisced about their prior meeting, indicating that he had given Kian84 a keyring and noted a nostalgic message from two years ago that he had found in his chat with him.

Kian84 had long dreamed of meeting G-Dragon in person, making the encounter particularly meaningful and creating a warm rapport between the two.

Despite the star-studded lineup, “Good Day” has struggled to achieve strong viewer ratings in its initial episodes. Meanwhile, G-Dragon continues to receive recognition for his recent studio album “Übermensch, ” which has found success on digital music charts, although he has also encountered backlash over some controversial lyrics from his new track “Too Bad.”
