To obtain the Kensei Armor Set in Ghost of Tsushima, players must first finish The Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale, which becomes available upon completing the A New Horizon main story quest in Act 1. This tale entails facing five Straw Hat Assassins in a duel before confronting Kojiro himself.
How to Start The Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale
To begin the mythic tale of The Six Blades of Kojiro, travel to the southwestern region of Toyotama and seek out a musician named Yamato. He will provide you with the whereabouts of the Straw Hat assassins, with whom you must engage in duels.
These are the five locations where the duels are scheduled to occur:

Once you have finished the duels at the five designated locations and emerged victorious against the Straw Hat assassins, return to Yamato and inquire about Kojiro’s whereabouts. He will inform you that Kojiro is currently taking refuge at the Omi Monastery, located near Mt. Omi in the northwest region of Toyotama.
When you arrive at the designated spot, search for a Buddha statue and then head towards the cave entrance by taking the path on the right side of it. Upon reaching the entrance, proceed inside the cave and speak with Kojiro to initiate the duel.
Despite his challenging nature, Kojiro is not an opponent that can be easily overcome. It may require multiple attempts before you can emerge victorious against him. Additionally, as you will not be able to utilize your equipment during the battle, your proficiency as a swordsman will be crucial in defeating Kojiro.
Upon successfully defeating Kojiro, you will be rewarded with the Kensei Armor as a token of completing the mythic tale. Additionally, the Kensei Headband and the Charm of Unseen Respite will also be bestowed upon you.
