(G)I-DLE Fans Angrily Criticize Members For Lack Of Communication

On May 2nd, the members of (G)I-DLE commemorated their 6th year since their debut by sharing a variety of posts on their individual social media accounts.

Minnie shared a group photo and a photoshoot clip to celebrate Idles’ 6th anniversary, expressing her love for her fellow members with the message, “HAPPY 6TH ANNIVERSARY. Idles has turned 6 years old. I love you guys so much” . Miyeon also showed her love for her bandmates on this special day, responding with “No, I love you more” .

Miyeon shared a group photo with the caption, “To my dear Neverlands and precious members, I am grateful for your love, embrace, and understanding over the past six years. Thank you and I hold each and every one of you close to my heart. I am filled with joy and gratitude.”

While promoting as a solo artist, Yuqi shared a dance challenge video for her new song “FREAK”on SNS. She also expressed her gratitude to the members with numerous heart emoticons.

Despite the (G)I-DLE members’ efforts to celebrate their 6th anniversary through sharing personal photos and messages on their channels, fans have expressed frustration in various online communities. The primary source of their anger stems from the members’ lack of activity on the group’s paid communication platforms. Numerous fans have eagerly applied to use the service and eagerly waited for interactions from the members, but were ultimately disappointed by the members’ negligent behavior, especially on the group’s debut anniversary.

Several fans expressed their disappointment with the lack of communication from the group, stating that they should have taken better care of their debut date. They also mentioned that if the group chooses not to communicate through the paid platform, they should not expect any support from fans.
