(G)I-DLE’s Soyeon Sparks Debate Among Fans with Her Rap at Concert, Contract Ends in November?

The third world tour for (G)I-DLE, titled [iDOL], kicked off on August 3rd at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

Apart from their group performances, the members also presented impressive solo stages to highlight their unique talents. One of the most talked about solo stages was Soyeon’s “Is this bad b****** number?”performance. She captivated the audience with her tight leopard print bodysuit that accentuated her flawless physique as she lay facing them.

In the initial segment of her performance, Soyeon showcased a sultry dance routine before swiftly switching up the rhythm and ambiance to execute a hip-hop transformation. While delivering a commanding rap, Soyeon fearlessly spat out profanity and stunned the audience with her bold lyrics, including the line “My contract ends in November / No one can hold me back now.”

In regards to the lyrics in Soyeon’s rap, a representative from CUBE Entertainment clarified that it was created specifically for the female idol’s stage performances. They also confirmed that the (G)I-DLE members’ exclusive contract will remain in effect until next year.

Despite Soyeon’s performance receiving mixed reactions from fans and netizens, there is much speculation and anticipation surrounding whether (G)I-DLE, a group in their 7th year, will renew their contract with CUBE. While some applaud Soyeon’s confident and candid nature, others have voiced concerns over her lack of consideration for fans due to the sensitive nature of the contract renewal issue.

It is uncertain whether (G)I-DLE will be able to continue as a group if its members do not renew their contract. As they embark on a new world tour to solidify their presence, all eyes are on their next move during the contract renewal period.
