A lover of pickle juice was left feeling panicked when she noticed something about the jar that appeared off.
A woman named ‘Jpall20’ gained viral attention on TikTok after she posted a video on the social media platform, asking for assistance in explaining her unusual discovery.
As a lover of pickles and their brine, Jpall purchased a set of half sours from Grillo’s, opened the jar, and sipped directly from it.
Despite this, Jpall discovered that one of the pickles had a suspiciously missing chunk on the bottom, as if someone had taken a bite out of it.
@jpall20 @Grillo’s Pickles please tell me if this is something you normally do and I didnt just drink pickle juice that someone elses mouth juice was in. #foodfail #dangerous #pickles #foodie #helpme #whyme #poison
Upon recognizing the peculiarity of the finding and wondering if someone had consumed from the jar, Jpall proceeded to inspect the remaining contents. As expected, each pickle was lacking a portion at the lower end.
“Viewers, have you ever come across pickles that are sealed and look like this when opened? Do you also wonder if someone in the factory took a bite out of each pickle before sealing them?”
Jpall expressed her concern about having consumed juice from the container and turned to TikTok for answers. In her video’s caption, tagged Grillo’s and asked, “Is it common to drink pickle juice that may have been contaminated with someone else’s mouth juice?”
Despite Jpall’s concern, there were still many viewers who remained unconvinced that the pickles had actually been eaten. Some viewers suggested that the ends may have been purposely “broken”off in order to fit them into the jar.
One individual noted that they purposely fit their pickle purchases into the jar, with another person suggesting that cutting off the blossom end before pickling helps to maintain the crunchiness.
Some participants took a more lighthearted approach to their responses, with one viewer playfully stating, “I used to be a professional biter for Grillo’s. I had to bite them all off to fit in the container.”
“Biter 378 here,”someone else added, confirming.
