The luxurious penthouse that inspired the iconic Eclipse Towers in GTA Online has recently been listed for a staggering $39.5 million, potentially setting a new record for condominium sales in Los Angeles.
For avid players of GTA Online, Eclipse Towers represents a significant milestone—a symbol of wealth where characters indulge in their virtual luxuries. It’s become synonymous with achieving success within the game, and now the real counterpart, Sierra Towers in West Hollywood, embodies similar aspirations in reality, having attracted a host of celebrities like Joan Collins, Sandra Bullock, and Courteney Cox over the decades.
An Iconic Penthouse Lists at a Historic Price
Pioneering philanthropists, Dan Fischel and Sylvia Neil, placed their stunning three-bedroom penthouse, spanning approximately 7, 400 square feet, on the market on April 6. If it secures a buyer at this listing price, it will surpass the previous Los Angeles condominium record of $39.2 million, which was established just a year ago.
The couple acquired the penthouse at an auction in 2021 for $17.5 million, which was described by Fischel as “just rubble” at the time. After investing five years and significant financial resources in renovations—led by the acclaimed New York architecture firm Workshop/APD—the apartment remains uninhabited, essentially a blank canvas awaiting its future owner.
The completed residence boasts a sprawling 5, 454-square-foot wraparound terrace that offers 360-degree vistas, showcasing everything from the Hollywood Hills to the shimmering Pacific Ocean. Inside, the penthouse radiates sophistication with exquisite limestone and quartzite surfaces, wide-plank oak flooring, and elegant hammered bronze accents. Fischel insists on preserving the property as an “untouched jewel” for its next fortunate buyer.
In the realm of GTA Online, Eclipse Towers signifies having arrived at a pinnacle of virtual success, mirroring the real-life allure of Sierra Towers, which serves a similar purpose in the actual world.
