Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has recently revealed his deep apprehension regarding the anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6).With enormous expectations from the gaming community, he expressed that he feels “terrified” about the title’s launch.

After experiencing two significant delays, the latest installment in the GTA franchise is now scheduled for release on November 19, 2026. Industry experts predict that this landmark event will virtually halt life as we know it, especially with most players required to download the game before diving in.

The anticipation surrounding GTA 6 has been palpable, and Zelnick has been at the forefront of addressing the myriad questions and speculation that have emerged over the years. Despite maintaining a careful approach to discussing its features and updates about Rockstar Games, he remains optimistic about what the future holds for this iconic franchise.

The Weight of Expectations: Zelnick’s Perspective

During his recent appearance at iicon in Las Vegas on April 28, Zelnick shared his insights on how the success of GTA 6 will be measured. He candidly admitted that the pressure is daunting, but he remains excited about delivering an exceptional gaming experience.

“What we think about is making the most spectacular piece of entertainment on Earth, in history, and it’s a pretty daunting challenge. If we do that, and if we’re of service to our customers, then the upside will take care of itself, ” Zelnick stated, highlighting the ambitious goals the team has set.

Interestingly, Zelnick’s remarks at the conference provided more insight than usual—he revealed that marketing initiatives for GTA 6 are set to commence “soon.” Additionally, he hinted at the possibility of a sequel to LA Noire, mentioning that Take-Two is “looking at doing something in the future” with their range of intellectual properties, albeit he had no further announcements to share.

Amidst swirling rumors of GTA 6 potentially retailing for $100, Zelnick commented on their pricing strategy, indicating that it “feels very reasonable.” However, he refrained from specifying any exact price point.
