GTA 6 is finally scheduled for 2025. While fans are eager to learn more about Rockstar’s game, a new patent has made players even more excited to return to Vice City.
The next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series will be released next year. The game’s first trailer has already broken countless records, without even showing official gameplay.
Leaks have already given players an idea of just how vast the size of GTA VI is. Now, the discovery of new AI technology patented by Take-Two Interactive could make the game even better.
As noted by Reddit user u/NoDevelopment894, Rockstar’s parent company has filed patents for new AI technology. It could radically change the world of GTA 6 and would thus offer players an unprecedented experience.
New AI technology could make GTA 6 even more immersive
The patent explains how the technology can “procedurally generate building interiors” that will vary depending on the type of building.
Some examples are shown. It is stated that kitchen walls, cupboards, sofas may differ to create new layouts. Each venue would then have its own furnishing style and color palettes.
But that’s not all: GTA 6’s NPCs could also benefit from a huge improvement thanks to AI. Using this technology, unique responses for each character could be generated by AI. They would all have unique responses to world events and behave like real people.

Additionally, with social media playing a key role in GTA 6, NPCs might start pulling out their phones and recording incidents.
Players have been blown away by the developments in AI and what it could mean for their games once they get their hands on GTA VI.
“Indoor AI makes me optimistic that we’ll be able to enter a lot of buildings. If they could generate interiors every time we want to enter a building, it would be revolutionary for such a large game!» exclaimed a fan.
“Give me the ultimate true crime sandbox, Rockstar,” chimed in another.
Others began to imagine what playing GTA 6 with this type of AI might be like. One wrote: “Imagine walking in the middle of the night downtown and coming across a group of drunk NPCs who probably met a few hours ago.”
Of course, until Rockstar makes an official announcement, take all of this with a grain of salt. Indeed, there is no indication that this technology will be present in GTA 6 yet. However, with a second trailer expected later this year, hopefully we’ll find out more soon. Fans can’t wait to learn more about what the developers have in store for GTA VI.
