KiwiTalkz, a prominent YouTuber recognized for interviewing developers from Rockstar Games, has dismissed the swirling rumors regarding a potential Nintendo Switch 2 version of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6).

Despite delays from Rockstar Games that have pushed the release of the eagerly awaited GTA 6 to November 19, 2026—originally slated for May 26, 2026—the game remains the most anticipated title in the gaming community. This extended timeline aims to ensure that the development team can meet player expectations with a thoroughly polished final product.

The postponement has, however, sparked concerns particularly among PC gamers, who now face an additional wait of approximately one year after the console release before accessing their version of the game.

Compounding the speculation, some sources have suggested that Rockstar may be working on a Switch version of GTA 6. A leaker known as Nash Weedle stated that tests for a Switch 2 port have already been conducted, further corroborated by insider NateTheHate.

KiwiTalkz Addresses GPT 6 Switch 2 Speculations

Responding to these viral claims, KiwiTalkz took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify his position. With firsthand experience in discussions surrounding GTA 6’s development, he aimed to debunk the notion that testing equates to confirmation of future releases.

He stated, “NateTheHate saying Rockstar tested GTA 6 on Switch 2 doesn’t mean anything; Rockstar tested putting GTA V on Wii U, and that went nowhere.” This highlights that developers frequently test various platforms without definitive outcomes.

Throughout the discussion, KiwiTalkz answered various inquiries from fans seeking further clarity on his rationale. He emphasized, “I am stating it’s not confirmation that it WILL happen. They tested GTA V for Wii U (it didn’t come out) and RDR2 for Switch 1 (it didn’t come out).”

His conclusion suggested that just because Rockstar has conducted tests does not ensure a future release; it merely indicates that they have explored the possibilities. He also mentioned, “GTA 6 won’t run on Switch 2 without serious, serious compromises.”

As it currently stands, Rockstar Games has only announced the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X as the confirmed platforms for GTA 6, leaving no mention of Nintendo’s console.
