Recent discoveries in the latest GTA Online update have led to speculation about new clothing items potentially linked to Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), one of which has surprisingly been overlooked for years. Enthusiastic fans of the franchise have long believed that Rockstar Games has been subtly embedding hints about the upcoming game within the expansive world of GTA Online, resulting in a continual hunt throughout Los Santos for clues related to the eagerly anticipated title.

As the development of GTA 6 accelerates, instances of new content leaking into GTA Online have become more prominent. Some of these implementations have been quite understated, such as vehicle liveries that nod to Vice City, while other features include entirely new cars. Uncovering Possible GTA 6 Clothing in GTA Online

According to leaker Lucas7Yoshi, the recent code strings for several clothing items appear to echo the distinct style associated with both Red Dead Redemption 2 and the forthcoming GTA 6, rather than being reminiscent of GTA 5 or its associated online counterpart. Lucas7Yoshi elaborated, stating, “Both RDR2 and GTA 6 utilize PBR (physically based rendering) technology, along with a new character system referred to as ‘metapeds’.Consequently, the naming conventions for clothing assets have undergone significant changes.”

Lucas7Yoshi has provided comparisons that illustrate the differences in naming conventions between GTA 5, RDR2, and the new boxer shorts that align more closely with the upcoming titles.

A standout item that has captured the attention of long-time Grand Theft Auto enthusiasts is a distinctive pair of boxer shorts adorned with heart patterns. These boxers have historical significance, appearing initially in San Andreas and Liberty City Stories. Remarkably, this specific pair has been present in GTA Online since the Valentine’s Day Massacre update back in 2014.

Lucas7Yoshi further commented on the findings, indicating that a few assets exhibit PBR texturing unexpectedly, suggesting they might have originally been created for GTA 5 but resulted from an incorrect workflow.“The most definitive evidence pointing towards these assets being intended for GTA 6 is the ‘metaped’ naming, as it does not conform to traditional clothing classifications.”

As Rockstar continues to draw from previous items, it is not surprising to see these elements make their way into Vice City in the future. The anticipation for what lies ahead is palpable among the community, and players eagerly await further updates.
