Fans of Escape from Tarkov have long awaited the arrival of the Rocket Launcher. Following the announcement of tanks and the BTR, it became evident that this powerful weapon would soon find its way into the game.
Finally, the Rocket Launcher made a surprise appearance in the 0.16.6 optimization update, and players are eager to learn how to obtain the RShG-2 model.
Acquiring the RShG-2 72.5mm Rocket Launcher

To unlock the RSh-G2 Rocket Launcher, players must successfully complete two quests: Grenadier and The Art of Explosion. The Grenadier quest necessitates the elimination of 8 PMCs using grenades, which many consider one of the toughest mid-game challenges.
Once Grenadier is complete, you will then receive The Art of Explosion task. This quest opens access to purchasing the RSh-G2 from Prapor, alongside receiving the Launcher for free as a reward. Contrary to Grenadier, completing The Art of Explosion is considerably easier; players can take down any target with grenades or grenade launchers, requiring a total of 35 eliminations, which may take some time.
While you could theoretically complete these quests at level 33, it is essential to achieve Prapor rank IV to purchase the RSh-G2. Rushing the quest without the necessary level and rank won’t yield the desired results.
Is the Rocket Launcher Available in the Flea Market?

Unfortunately, the RSh-G2 Rocket Launcher is not available for purchase in the Flea Market. Players can only acquire it directly from Prapor or by looting it from defeated opponents.
This single-use Rocket Launcher cannot be reloaded, as players cannot purchase additional rockets. Once deployed, it remains in your inventory or sling but no longer serves any practical purpose, rendering it dead weight.

With a price tag of 182, 944 Roubles, the RSh-G2 provides a valuable option. While it is comparable to the FN40GL, the latter is significantly more expensive. Once acquired, the Rocket Launcher is ready for immediate use, eliminating the need for additional ammunition or shells.
Players also have the option to take the emptied RSh-G2 Rocket Launcher back to sell it to the trader. Although collecting other items typically yields more profit, if you’re nearing extraction and have spare inventory space, bringing it back can net you some extra Roubles.
