When you first gear up for a round of Arc Raiders, the lack of clear options for safely finishing the round with your gathered loot can be disorienting. This guide explains how to successfully extract your hard-earned assets and navigate the elevator mechanics in the game.

Completing a Round in Arc Raiders

In Arc Raiders, a round concludes only under specific circumstances: successfully extracting, succumbing to combat, or when the timer reaches zero. Should the timer expire, your character is instantly eliminated, leading to the loss of all inventory items except those stored in your safe pocket. To ensure a successful escape, you must locate an elevator and board it before the round timer runs out. However, this can be a challenging task, given that numerous teams are also vying to extract, amidst the threats posed by roaming ARC machines.

How to Extract Safely in Arc Raiders

For safe extraction, keep an eye out for the downward arrow marker on your in-game map.

Extraction typically requires interaction with an elevator. Approach the elevator and use the panel to summon it. It will take a moment to arrive and open, but be prepared for its loud noise and flashing lights, which can draw both ARC machines and rival raiders. Once it arrives, board the elevator and interact with the computer inside to finalize your extraction. All players who entered the elevator will successfully complete the round together.

Importantly, keep track of the elevators’ timers, as some will eventually close, preventing further extractions. You may use elevators already summoned by other teams, provided their timer has not expired, but be aware that a short cooldown period applies.

Another option for extraction is through the Raider Hatches, but this requires possession of a Raider Hatch Key. While these keys are consumable upon use, they provide a secure means of extraction, allowing for solo exits. If you’re speedy enough, multiple players can utilize the same Raider Hatch simultaneously.
