Nihilego’s Weaknesses in Pokemon Go

As a Rock/Poison-type Pokemon, Nihilego is vulnerable to Ground, Psychic, Steel, and Water-type attacks. Therefore, the most effective team to use against this Ultra Beast will consist of Pokemon of these types.

Knowing Nihilego’s resistances is crucial. It is best to refrain from using Bug, Fairy, Fire, Flying, Normal, and Poison-type attacks as they will have minimal effect on it.

Therefore, in order to obtain Nihilego, you must first emerge victorious in a 5-Star Raid encounter and then utilize the provided Premier Balls to capture it. However, it’s important to note that Ultra Beasts are not always available in Raids, as they only appear for a limited duration.

Fortunately, Nihilego will be making a comeback in Raid battles for both the Pokemon Go Fest New York and Global weekends, along with other Ultra Beasts. This means that players will have the opportunity to battle and catch Nihilego on the following dates:

  • From July 5th, 2024 to July 7th, 2024.
  • From July 13, 2024, until July 14, 2024

As previously stated, it will be available in 5-Star Raids on July 9, 2024, as part of the Inbound from Ultra Space event.

In the past, players could earn a chance to encounter an Ultra Beast by completing Special/Timed Research Tasks such as “A Radiant World – Part 4″or “Ultra Beast Arrival: Raid Victory”.
