Halsey’s Battle with Blood Cancer: I’m Lucky to Be Alive

On June 4 (local time), Pop star Halsey shared a new post on her Instagram account, accompanied by the caption, “To summarize, I am fortunate to still be alive. To elaborate, I have created an album that starts with The End. It is available now.”

Halsey shared multiple videos and photos documenting her treatment in the post. She made sure to mention and tag the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Lupus Research Alliance. It is notable that Halsey is generously donating the proceeds from her album sales to these same organizations.

In the initial video, Halsey is captured massaging her sore leg while conversing with someone not shown on camera. She mentioned, “I feel like an elderly woman. I promised myself two years to recover. By the time I turn 30, I will have a new lease on life. I won’t be unwell; instead, I will be incredibly attractive and brimming with vitality, and I will live my thirties as if they were my twenties.”
