On May 25, 2025, Hasan was suspended from Twitch, responding promptly to the notice and shedding light on the circumstances that led to this action against his account.

The popular streamer, known for his political commentary, took to his X/Twitter account to announce that Twitch had issued a “global suspension.”While the duration of the ban is tentatively set for 24 hours, Twitch did not confirm this timeframe in their correspondence.

The suspension was attributed to “Improper handling of terrorist propaganda, ” a designation that has raised questions among his followers.

Hasan’s Response to the Suspension

In reaction to the ban, Hasan posted on X/Twitter, stating, “I covered the motives of the Israeli embassy staff shooter. Twitch’s Terms of Service dictate a suspension for even critically examining the manifesto.”

He voiced his concerns, asserting, “I believe this is detrimental to news and press freedom, ”and expressed hope for a policy revision from Twitch in the future.

Twitch’s community guidelines emphasize a zero-tolerance approach to any content that might depict, glorify, or encourage acts of terrorism or violent extremism. The guidelines state that even the mere display or linking of terrorist propaganda is prohibited, regardless of the intention behind it, including condemnation.

According to StreamerBans, Hasan has faced bans on six separate occasions since July 2019, two of which occurred on August 23, 2019, and December 14, 2021, each lasting seven days.
